ACIC RISE Association CGC Landran inspires youth across Punjab through Viksit Bharat Buildathon awareness drive

The Department of RISE, CGC Landran, spearheaded an awareness initiative under the Viksit Bharat Buildathon, a flagship innovation challenge launched by the Ministry of Education and NITI Aayog. The initiative seeks to mobilize young minds nationwide toward the shared vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, a self-reliant, technologically advanced and inclusive India. 

As part of this extensive outreach campaign, ten teams from ACIC RISE Association, CGC Landran, visited ten districts across Punjab, including Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ropar, Sangrur, Ludhiana, Moga, Patiala and Mansa. The objective was to inspire students and innovators to participate in the Buildathon and channel their creativity toward solving real-world challenges aligned with national priorities. 

During the sessions, the team offered an in-depth walkthrough of the Buildathon’s structure and objectives, spotlighting its four key pillars namely, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Samriddh Bharat, Swadeshi and Vocal for Local. Through interactive demonstrations and engaging presentations, students were guided on idea development, prototype creation, and impact-driven innovation. 

Participants were also briefed about the Buildathon’s substantial prize pool of ₹1 Crore, distributed among district, state and national-level winners, providing a remarkable platform for young innovators to showcase their potential at a national stage. The outreach drive was led by a dedicated group of faculty members and mentors from ACIC RISE, CGC Landran, including Er. Sonia Jindal & Er. Jaspreet Kaur, Er. Satwinder Singh & Dr. Sudhir, Mr. Nikhil Verma, Mr. Jatinder Singh & Mr. Manish, Er. Charanpreet & Ms. Komal, Dr. Shelly, Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Arora, Ms. Nitika & Er. Kartikay, Dr. Deepika & Mr. Sagar, and Er. Ritik & Ms. Seema, who represented CGC Landran across all participating districts. 

The initiative witnessed an overwhelming response from students, many of whom expressed keen enthusiasm to take part in the Buildathon and contribute to India’s innovation ecosystem. Prof. (Dr.) Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, said, “The Viksit Bharat Buildathon reflects our nation’s faith in its youth as agents of transformation.
