BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today said the Bhagwant Mann government has failed farmers on all fronts adding that the Modi government has ensured predictable income support, higher MSPs and record procurement. Where farmers suffered in Punjab, it was because the AAP government over-promised and under-delivered—be it moong procurement, post-flood compensation or clearing cane dues,” Chugh said.
Chugh added that the recent Land Pooling episode has completely exposed the sinister designs of both AAP and Congress, who attempted to grab farmers’ lands in Punjab for the benefit of Kejriwal-Sisodia’s realtor lobby. This was nothing but a backdoor plan to loot farmers’ ancestral land and hand it over to vested interests.
It was the BJP that stood firmly with farmers and forced the government to roll back the anti-farmer conspiracy. “AAP leaders keep waving the ‘doubling income’ line while ignoring ground reality,” he said. “The Centre has transferred cash directly through PM-KISAN, raised MSP year after year and backed it with procurement.

Now they want to hide state-level failure by attacking Delhi.” While the Land Pooling Scheme was foiled by the Joint efforts of Farmers and the massive support from the BJP, now CM Mann is planning a new conspiracy to loot people of Punjab by mortgaging more than 20,000 crore worth of Land owned by GMADA in Mohali, said Chugh.
“The BJP stands with every farmer of Punjab. Let AAP debate numbers and delivery, we’re ready, and the facts are on our side,” Chugh concluded.
