Punjab Government Gifts 12 New Roads to 17 Villages in Dhuri Constituency

As part of efforts initiated by the Punjab Government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to strengthen the state’s infrastructure, the Dhuri Assembly Constituency has been granted 12 link roads. These roads will directly connect 17 villages and indirectly benefit nearly half the constituency. 

The foundation stones for these roadworks were laid by Dalvir Singh Dhillon, Chairman of the Punjab State Small Industries and Export Corporation. During various events, Chairman Dhillon shared that, under a special initiative of the Chief Minister, foundation stones have been laid for roads connecting Bugran to Rajomajra, Bugran to Pedhni Kalan, Ladda to main road, Bugran to Kanjhla, Bugran to Salempur, Sultanpur to Dhandiwal, Rangian to Dhandiwal, Ghanour Kalan to Ghanour Khurd, Ghanour Kalan to Kalerian, Ghanour Kalan to Dada Akki and Kumbharwal to Kattu.

He further said that these roads will be built at a total cost of ₹12.89 crore. The target is to complete all construction within the next four months. He added that the total length of these roads will be 31.16 kilometers and they had been long-awaited by the people. 

The Chief Minister, responding to public demand, prioritized the construction of these roads. These roads will significantly improve connectivity in nearly half of the Dhuri constituency. They will ease transportation, reduce road accidents, and support local employment and business activity.

Chairman Dhillon stated that the Punjab Government is making strong efforts not only to provide quality healthcare and high-level education but also to develop strong infrastructure. He remarked that previous governments prioritized personal interests over public welfare, whereas the current government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, is transforming Dhuri into the most developed constituency in the state.

Present on the occasion were Block President Jaswinder Singh, Sukhwant Singh, Surjit Singh, Sarpanch Darshan Singh Changli, Sarpanch Amritpal Singh (Ghanour Kalan), Sarpanch Amritpal Singh (Rangi), Sarpanch Sukhchain Singh (Moolowal), and many others.
