Moga’s Free Coaching Boosts Agniveer Hopefuls

Under the banner of “Sambhav”, a proactive skill-building initiative by the District Administration Moga, free coaching was successfully provided to around 65 aspiring candidates preparing for the Agniveer recruitment exam. Launched in collaboration with the Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training, the program aimed to equip local youth with the necessary skills to succeed in both the written and physical components of the selection process.
To make this possible, three tehsil-level coaching centres were set up at:
• Bhupindra Khalsa Senior Secondary School (Moga)
• Government Senior Secondary School (Ghalloti, Dharamkot)
• Government Senior Secondary School (Bilaspur, Nihal Singh Wala)
These centres provided structured, free-of-cost training and guidance to registered candidates. Importantly, the initiative drew strength from the community, as several trainers responded to the call of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sagar Setia to volunteer their time and expertise in service of the youth.
Recognizing their invaluable contribution, DC Dr. Sagar Setia personally felicitated the volunteer trainers, appreciating their commitment to public service and their pivotal role in shaping future soldiers.
He emphasized the vital connection between education and employability, and assured continued administrative support to such empowering efforts. He encouraged the training team to carry forward this mission with the same dedication and spirit.
The program also benefited from the active collaboration of the District Education Office and the District Sports Office. Ms. Dimpal Thapar, District Employment and Business Bureau Officer, was present during the event and reaffirmed the administration’s continued focus on youth empowerment and skill development.
Through “Sambhav”, the district underscores its unwavering commitment to preparing a skilled, confident, and employment-ready generation.
