New cooperative policy will bring revolutionary changes in society : Dr Arvind Sharma

Haryana’s Cooperative, Heritage and Tourism Minister Dr Arvind Sharma said the Ministry of Cooperation will soon announce a new cooperative policy to give impetus to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cooperative movement. He announced to provide loan to sugarcane producers in Haryana through HARCO Bank to solve the problems faced during harvesting.
This will provide opportunities to the youth and farmers to become financially strong through commercial use of harvesting machines.On the occasion of International Cooperative Day on Saturday, Dr Arvind Sharma launched the logo of International Cooperative Year at a state-level function in Panchkula.
He said at one time, only fertilizer, medicine and loan-related works were done through cooperative institutions, but under the guidance of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah, today, opportunities to do 25 types of work like Jan Aushadhi Kendra, CSC Centre, Gas Station etc. through cooperative societies are making the youth self-reliant.
A new cooperative policy is going to be implemented in the country soon, which will strengthen the idea of Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah to connect every household with cooperatives and will provide big opportunities according to the challenges of the present times.
He said Haryana under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will implement this policy immediately and will make necessary changes in it according to the needs of the state.Dr Arvind Sharma said in the direction of forming 500 CM PACS under the budget announcement of the Chief Minister, 141 CM PACS have been formed in the state so far.
He said small warehouses will also be established through PACS, so that food supply under the PDS system can be made possible through them. The Central and State Governments are continuously taking steps to connect 140 crore Indians in the country with cooperatives. He said a big change will be seen in the life of every citizen associated with cooperatives in the coming time.
To solve the problem of harvesting faced by sugarcane producing farmers in the state, he announced to provide loans to youth and farmers for purchasing harvesting machines through the PACS of HARCO Bank. By using these eligible harvesting machines in a commercial way, they will be able to become self-reliant.
He said through the Dairy Federation, the members of CM PACS will also be provided opportunities in Vita booth allocation. Not only this, the Dairy Federation Vita booths will be modernized, so that food products of Vita and HAFED will be available there. He also launched the Platinum Debit Card of HARCO Bank.
This debit card of up to Rs. 5 lakh can also be used in airport lounges across the country. Officers of Faridabad and Mahendragarh districts of the state were felicitated for computerizing 100% PACS. Vita booth allotment letters were issued to 4 eligible persons.
On this occasion, former Speaker of the Assembly Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, former MLA Latika Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Cooperative Department, Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, Registrar of Cooperative Societies Sh. Rajesh Jogpal, and others were present.
