Barinder Kumar Goyal Lays Foundation Stone for Water Supply Schemes

Cabinet Minister Brinder Kumar Goyal today gave a major boost to the residents of villages Bushehra and Rajalheri in Lehra assembly constituency by laying the foundation stone for two water supply schemes worth over Rs 2.5 crore. Speaking on the occasion, Cabinet Minister Goyal said that the work on these schemes will be completed within a year, providing clean and pure drinking water to every household in both villages. 

The schemes include the installation of water tanks, tube wells, 14.08 kilometers of new pipeline, and solar systems, benefiting around 4,700 villagers. The Cabinet Minister stated that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to providing clean drinking water to the villages. 

In the past year, Rs 25.61 crore has been approved for water supply schemes in 37 villages of Sangrur district, which will benefit around 87,053 people. Goyal claimed that the Bhagwant Mann government will achieve its goal of providing clean drinking water to the people during its current tenure.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Ram Chander Bushihra, and Sarpanch Rajveer Singh, among others.
