GNDU Startups Shine Bright at Future Tycoons Program Organized by District Administration Amritsar

Guru Nanak Dev University reaffirmed its leadership in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship as three of its startups clinched top honors at the Future Tycoons program, organized by the District Administration Amritsar.
The grand finale of the initiative witnessed impressive pitches from budding entrepreneurs, with GNDU’s incubatees securing three top prizes—an emphatic testimony to the university’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem nurtured through its Golden Jubilee Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GJCEI).
The university’s unwavering focus on startup development is steered by Prof. (Dr.) Karamjeet Singh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, whose dynamic vision continues to transform GNDU into a cradle for next-generation innovators. Congratulating the winners, Dr. Singh announced that the such program will now become an annual fixture at GJCEI, serving as a launchpad for emerging entrepreneurs.
He also extended heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Sakshi Sahni, Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar, for her collaborative spirit and leadership in executing this pioneering event with GNDU. This initiative demonstrates the power of academia-government collaboration in igniting entrepreneurial potential among youth. GNDU remains committed to nurturing innovation, creativity, and startup culture through holistic support and mentorship, said Prof. Singh.
In this event, three startups Mr. Rohin Kaundel – Nadium Energy won First Prize (Rs. 50,000 cash award), Mr. Sumit Bhatnagar – Second Prize in tourism category (Rs.20,000 cash award) and Dr. Divjot Sadhu – Divine Flames received Third Prize (Rs.10,000 cash award) on women entrepreneur category: The event was marked by enthusiasm, mentorship, and celebration. Dr. Balwinder Singh, Coordinator, GJCEI, applauded the winners and participants for their dedication and creativity. Dr. Sodhi, Nodal Officer, IPR Cell, inspired the young minds to pursue innovation with conviction and resilience.In recognition of their invaluable contributions of GNDU faculty members, the District Administration also felicitated all the eminent jury panel including Dr. P.K. Pati, Head, Department of Biotechnology Dr. Harkirandeep Kaur, Department of Laws Dr. Divya Mahajan, University Business School of GNDU whose expert evaluation guided the program’s success.
