Shiv Pratap Shukla presides over the closing ceremony of Shoolini Fair

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla presided over the closing ceremony of the State-level Shoolini Fair on Sunday evening at Solan. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla was also present on the occasion.

The Governor congratulated the district administration and members of the Shoolini fair committee  for successfully organizing  the fair. The Governor was honoured by the Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col). Dhani Ram Shandil on the occasion.

Earlier, the Governor visited the ancient Durga temple located in the Ganj Bazaar of Solan and offered prayers, wishing all citizens of the state a happy and healthy life. The Governor pinned badges on the new lifetime members of the Solan Red Cross Society and expressed hope that they would dedicate themselves to the service of humanity through the Red Cross and inspire others to do the same.

The Governor also felicitated an artist Vineet Kashyap, a first-year student of Government College Solan for designing the invitation card and other publications related to this year’s fair. He also honoured Jyotishacharya Devendra Verma. Kasauli MLA Vinod Sultanpuri was present as a special guest and was honoured by Chairman of the State-level Mela Committee and  Deputy Commissioner Manmohan Sharma on the occasion.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh Chandel, Secretary to the Governor, C.P. Verma, and other distinguished guests, along with senior district officers were present on the occasion.
