Officers must regularly visit crèches and observation homes, review facilities: Shruti Choudhry

Haryana’s Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Shruti Choudhry directed the officials to regularly visit crèches and observation homes, review the facilities being provided there and submit a report to her. Any kind of negligence in this matter will not be tolerated.

The Minister was chairing a review meeting of the officers of the Women and Child Development Department here today. On this occasion, she also launched two major portals for the development and protection of the beneficiaries, which include the Child Protection Portal and MIS System Portal for Play Schools and Creches.

The Minister was informed that the Child Protection Portal will be helpful in monitoring the children living in child reform homes under Mission Vatsalya. In this, the case can be monitored from FIR registration by the police and the action taken by the Juvenile Justice Board to the rehabilitation plan for each child. 

The minister directed the officials to provide her the report of the children living in child reform homes in the state. It was informed in the meeting that the second portal is based on MIS system for play schools and crèches. The Women and Child Development Department has 4000 play schools in the state, in which more than 50,000 children are enrolled. 

Apart from this, there are more than 7500 children in more than 450 Shishu Grihas. Through the MIS portal, information about all services along with end to end management will be available, which also includes teaching management, attendance management, development monitoring and food tracking.

Additional Chief Secretary of Women and Child Development Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal and other officers were present in the meeting.
