41.04 % voting till 3 pm

Ludhiana West Assembly segment has recorded 41.04 % voter turnout as of 3 pm on Thursday. District Election Officer (DEO) Himanshu Jain stated that Voting, which began at 7 am today, is going to be completely peaceful and smooth. 

He stated that in the first two hours (7 am to 9 am), the voting percentage was 8.5 % and till 11 am, it was 21.51 %. Till 1 pm, the voting was 33.42 %. During his visit to several polling stations.on Thursday, the DEO also held detailed deliberations with the polling staff, voters and representatives of political parties. 

He stated that so far peaceful turn out by voters reflects the love that the Punjabis have for duty towards the nation. Jain also encouraged voters to set a new record of turnout by coming out in massive numbers to cast their votes. The voting will  continue till 6 pm. 

The Voting will continue until the last voter present inside the polling station casts their votes. Meanwhile, General Observer Rajeev Kumar also visited more than 45 polling booths and stated that the polling was going completely peaceful.
