Aryans Group organizes 6th Shikara Race

In a bid to bring tourists back to valley after Pehalgam incident, Jk students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organized 6th Shikara Race at Ghat number 18, Dal Lake, Srinagar. On the occasion, Ms Sakina Itoo, Minister for Health & Medical Education School Education Higher Education and Social Welfare was the Chief Guest and Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over.
Minister flagged off the race and around 50 shikara participated in the race on the theme “Aryans Welcomes You In Kashmir”. The Minister appreciated the students and management of Aryans Group of Colleges.
He said, “I have already seen the positive role of Aryans Group when, after the Pehalgam incident, Kashmiri students studying outside the valley were disturbed due to various incidents. Aryans not only opened its hostel doors to affected students but also took an active step to conduct special semester exams for JK students, working alongside me.”
Dr. Kataria extended his gratitude to the Minister for participating in the race and inspiring students. He appreciated Kashmir’s beauty, stating that it is and will always be a heaven on earth, unaffected by negative incidents like the Pehalgam incident.
Dr. Kataria also commended the Aryans JK students, who, despite studying outside the state, consistently think about the Valley’s well-being. He praised their efforts in successfully organizing the 6th Shikara Race.
On the occasion Dr Parveen Kataria, Director General; Dr Garima Thakur, Deputy Director; Ms Manpreet Mann, Dean, Scholarship; Er Mudasir Ahmed, Er. Rayees, Er. Jahangir Rashid, Er Shahid Lone, Er Umar Nazir, Mr Danish, Mr Saquib etc were present.
