Commissioner conducted a surprise check of the city in the early morning to check sanitation conditions

Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh had a round of the city and checked sanitation work and other civic amenities there. He started his round from Novelty chowk to custom chowk,Rialto chowk, then to chhehartta, Islamabad, Lahori Gate, Bhandari Bridge, cooper road to Lawrence road. He also had a surprise check at Municipal Auto workshop and monitored movement of trollies and refueling work. 

He guided the employees for refueling process. During the round Medical officer of  Health Dr. Kiran, Dr. Yogesh Arora and AMOH Dr. Rama were also present.In a press brief Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh said that all the wings of Municipal Corporation Amritsar are working round the clock to make the city green,neat and clean.  

The teams of officers constituted for the purpose are doing their duties very well. The most important job is of sanitation staff and they are performing their duty to the entire satisfaction.  However the Municipal Corporation Amritsar has put its own machinery to lift the garbage from each and every ward of the city. 

He said three fatigue gangs have been permanently deputed on the main roads of the city who will perform various duties roster wise to keep these roads neat and clean and also petty civil works will also be done by these gangs under the supervision of the Nodal Officers  who have earlier been deputed. He said these kind of surprise checking will keep on continuing in the upcoming days.
