Selection of Two Patiala Cricketers for Indian Team

Two cricketers from Patiala have been selected for the Indian team’s camp ahead of the Under-23 Asia Cup. According to available information, off-spinner Harjas Singh Tandon and left-arm spin bowler Aryaman Dhaliwal from Patiala have been chosen by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) for the Under-23 Asia Cup.
Cricket Hub coach Kamal Sandhu, while sharing details, stated that both players have been delivering outstanding performances for Punjab over the past several years. Their consistent excellence has earned them a spot in the Indian cricket team’s Asia Cup camp.
When asked why Patiala’s cricketers are consistently making their mark at national and international levels, Coach Sandhu explained that since the era of Navjot Singh Sidhu, Patiala’s success stems from the Academy Cricket Hub, where a dedicated practice group of state players has been formed. In this setup, senior players meticulously guide juniors on every nuance of the game.
During practice sessions and subsequent matches, juniors not only observe seniors’ performances but also receive constant encouragement to improve. This culture of mentorship has been instrumental in shaping talents like Prabh Simran Singh, Under-19 star batter Anmol Preet Singh, Naman Dhir, England-bound Under-19 batter Vihan Malhotra, and women’s team players Kanika Ahuja and Mannat Kashyap.
All these players continue to inspire the next generation, elevating Patiala’s cricket standards to match
