Nasha Mukti Yatra gains momentum in Punjab’s fight for a drug-free state

The Punjab Government’s Yudh Nashya Virudh campaign continues its relentless pursuit to eradicate the drug menace, with the Nasha Mukti Yatra reaching Guru Ram Dass Nagar and Amar Colony today.Led by Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian, the grassroots awareness movement is uniting communities across Punjab to create a drug-free state, one village and ward at a time.

Addressing gatherings in Guru Ram Dass Nagar and Amar Colony, Mundian called the Nasha Mukti Yatra a people’s revolution, empowering residents to stand against drug abuse and trafficking. “This is not just a campaign; it’s a collective resolve to reclaim Punjab’s future for our youth,” he said.

He urged citizens to report drug traffickers, assuring confidentiality through a dedicated WhatsApp helpline 97791-00200 and encouraged those struggling with addiction to seek free treatment at government-supported de-addiction centers. “We are breaking the backbone of the drug trade, but the real victory lies in the hands of our people.

Together, we will make Punjab vibrant and drug-free,” he declared. The Minister also praised the role of village and ward defense committees in fostering community vigilance and supporting the campaign’s success.
