Rayat Bahra University signs MoU with US varsity for STEM programmes

Kharar : Rayat Bahra University here today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with California Miramar University of the United States aimed at providing a unique and enriching educational experience for students pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programmes.
Dr Chitpasong Vazquez, President and CAO at California Miramar University, signed the MoU on behalf of California Miramar University while Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, and Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of RBU, signed the pact on behalf of Rayat Bahra University. Dinesh Sharma Registrar RBU and Ms Myra Smith chief operating officer California Miramar University and Dr S K Bansal dean academic affairs were also present at the signing ceremony.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra said under this strategic partnership, students will embark on a transformative academic journey, starting their education at Rayat Bahra University in India and seamlessly transferring to California Miramar University for the completion of their final year degree programme in the United States.
This collaboration offers students an unparalleled opportunity to experience the best of both educational systems, blending the academic rigor of Rayat Bahra University’s curriculum with the international exposure and diverse learning environment of California Miramar University, Bahra added.
He said that the courses offered included MBA Data Analytics, MS in Computer Science, and MS in Artificial Intelligence and the tuition fee for the courses offered was less than Rs 12 lakh. Work authorization for up to three years under Optional Practical Training STEM scheme was available under this programme and graduate starting salary in the US was around $ 55,000 which came to Rs 45 lakh.

Gurinder Singh Bahra, Vice-President of Rayat Bahra group of institutes, said in addition to the academic benefits, this collaboration offers Indian students the opportunity to experience an international study programme without leaving the comfort of Rayat Bahra University.

Speaking on the occasion she said the collaboration is designed to enable students to pursue their first-year studies at Rayat Bahra University. In the second year, students will shift to California Miramar University, USA, to complete their final year of the STEM programme, gaining exposure to the American education system and its industry-oriented approach.
