Ambala : Haryana’s Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the country is making a turning point, witnessing all-around development. The Vande Bharat Express train, equipped with amenities comparable to trains in foreign countries, is being run and surpassing the trains operating in foreign countries. Home Minister Anil Vij stated that any country’s progress primarily depends on its transportation routes; if those change the country progresses.”
Sh. Vij was addressing a massive crowd present at the Ambala Cantonment railway station before flagging off the new Vande Bharat Express running between Amritsar and New Delhi. He mentioned that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is progressing, whether it’s about roads, railways, or building airports in various places.
The country is moving forward on all fronts. New railway routes and trains are being introduced, and road networks are expanding. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated the race to build a developed India by 2047. It’s the first time a Prime Minister has pledged to build a developed India. If such a vision had been adopted earlier, today, we would have been standing among developed nations”, he added.

Home Minister Anil Vij mentioned that today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated various trains from Ayodhya and also established a new railway station and airport in Ayodhya. Vij reminisced about his days during the Ayodhya movement, stating that he had visited Ayodhya twice during the movement and had seen the old station. He expressed pride in seeing the new station after the transformation. He also mentioned the plan to redevelop the Ambala Cantonment railway station at a cost of 200 crores.

Home Minister Anil Vij mentioned being the son of a railway employee, where train whistle were like lullabies to him, and his growth was intertwined with it. He witnessed how the railways progressed, moving from coal to diesel and now electric engines. Previously, the best was called the Deluxe Express, but now, the Vande Bharat Express is the number one train in the country.
A few months ago, he had the opportunity to travel on this train with the Rail Minister. This train is equipped with all facilities like those in foreign countries and is better than it—the Vande Bharat Express, he said.

On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Kartikey Sharma, DRM Mandeep Singh Bhatia, along with senior railway officials and other dignitaries were present.
