MC Kalakote organises series of events under Meri Maati, Mera Desh Campaign
Parbhari Officer pays tributes to Martyrs

Rajouri : In continuation to the Independence Day 2023 celebrations, different activities were conducted under “Meri Maati, Mera Desh” campaign with the theme “Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan” at Municipal Committee Kalakote, District Rajouri.
The event was convened by the Parbhari/Visiting Officer, Director General Floriculture Parks and Gardens Jammu, S. Jatinder Singh under the guidance & supervision of President of Municipal Committee Kalakote, Vijay Kumar Suri.
Vice President, Municipal Councillors, Executive Officer MC Kalakote employees of different departments, teachers, students and general public of the MC Kalakote attended the Azadi ka Amrit Mohostav and actively participated in all the activities of the celebrations.
On the occasion, a mega patriotic Tiranga rally led by President MC Kalakote was organized which started from Municipal Committee Office Kalakote and culminated at Chakli, Ward no. 3, Kalakote. Vice President, Municipal Councillors, EO, General public of the area, the staff members alongwith large number of students of Vidyarthi Shiksha Kendra High school, Kalakote participated in the rally.
The Parbhari/Visiting Officer alongwith President MC Kalakote hoisted the National Flag in ward no.3 followed by singing of the National Anthem. The participants chanted Bharat Mata Ki Jai & Vande Mataram in one voice.“Panch Pran” pledge was also taken where Parbhari/Visiting Officer administered the pledge alongwith President, Vice President, Councillors, EO, Teachers, Students of the School and prominent Citizens.
On the occasion, Parbhari/Visiting Officer also paid glowing tributes to the Martyr Late. Kamal Singh (SPO Police) who laid down his life for the safety and security of the County. Brother of Martyr Swarn Singh S/o Karnail Singh R/o Chakli, Ward No. 3 was also honored by the President of the MC Kalakote along with the Parbhari/Visiting Officer, Councillors, EO and prominent citizens.
