District to have Shilaphalakam plaques in all villages and cities as a mark of respect to Freedom Fighters as a part of ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’-DC Aashika Jain

Plantation, Honour to Bravehearts, Pledge, Har Ghar Tiranga and National Anthem to be the part of the campaign

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar : Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain said that Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar to have Shilaphalakam plaques in all villages and cities as a mark of respect to Freedom Fighters as a part of ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’.
Directing the officers to expedite the culminating activities of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, in a meeting held here on Saturday evening, she said that the standard walls and designs have been conveyed to all the BDPOs and EOs to complete the work by next week.
She added that the Shilaphalakam plaques to have the name of the Village/City with a logo of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav besides the inscription of words “Apne Watan Di Azadi ate Anakh di Rakhi lyi Jana Varan vale shaheedan nu koti koti Parnam”.
Besides,the list of freedom fighters of the particular village/city would be written on the plaque. In case, there is no freedom fighter from that particular area, this part of the plaque to be omitted there.
Deputy Commissioner directed the ADC (Urban Development) Damanjit Singh Mann and ADC (Rural Development) Geetika Singh to monitor the activities being undertaken under ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ minutely in their departments.
She said that the activities would be taken as plantation of minimum 75 saplings, honour to bravehearts (Freedom Fighters/Army Persons/Police/Central/Para Military retires), Pledge to commemorate Freedom Fighter by taking soil in hand, placing tricolor on their houses and by playing/singing National Anthem.
The photographs of the activities performed would also be uploaded on site AKAM.
Officers present in the meeting included ADC (Urban Development) Damanjit Singh Mann, ADC (Rural Development) Geetika Singh, SDM Ravinder Singh, Davy Goyal Assistant Commissioner (UT), DDPO Amrinder Pal Singh Chauhan.
