DM Rolling Trophy concludes at Rajouri

DDC presents awards to winners of sports competitions

Rajouri : The second edition of the DM Rolling Trophy, organized by the District Youth Services and Sports department, came to a successful end today at the Indoor Sports Stadium in Kheora.The tournament featured competitions in Badminton, Table Tennis (Singles and Doubles), and Chess (Men and Women), and witnessed the participation of players from different Tehsils and zones of the district.
The Culmination Ceremony was presided over by the District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, alongside the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ACR), Imran Rashid Kataria, and the District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO), Sunil Singh Sambyal.
During the ceremony, the DDC appreciated the efforts of the department of YSS for conducting the tournament in a smooth and fair manner. He also stressed the importance of sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraged the players to regularly participate in sports to channelize their energy in the right direction.
The ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria, also addressed the players and congratulated them for their excellent performance. He emphasized the need to continue to nurture the talent of young players in the district and provide them with opportunities to showcase their skills.
Prizes were presented to the winners of the tournament. The officials of the department of YSS, including PEL, PEM, PET, and REK, were also present at the culmination ceremony.The DM Rolling Trophy is an initiative of the District Administration to promote sports and nurture the talent of young players in Rajouri.
The tournament provides a platform to players to showcase their skills, gain exposure, and compete at the highest level. It is also a great opportunity for the players to learn from one another, exchange ideas and develop their skills through healthy competition.
The successful culmination of the second edition of the DM Rolling Trophy is a testament to the district administration’s commitment to promoting sports and creating a healthier, more active, and prosperous community.
