On an appeal of MLA Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, NRIs come forward to invest in Baghapurana
Thanksgiving meeting for NRIs belonging to Baghapurana Constituency

Baghapurana : NRI Punjabis have a special contribution to the prosperity of Punjab. Rangla Punjab in the true sense cannot be imagined without the support of the Punjabi diaspora. This was expressed by Mr Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, MLA of Baghapurana Constituency while addressing the “NRI Punjabi’s Thanksgiving Meeting” organized here today.
He said that the environment of Punjab is very good. NRI Punjabis should not believe in the propagation of opposition parties. No one can keep a bad eye on your assets. The MLA confidently said that if the NRI Punjabis will contribute one share in their village, he will contribute three times with his resources.
He said that 250 crores of rupees will be invested in the constituency during the next 4 months with the support of NRI Punjabis. He invited the NRI Punjabis to come forward for investment. He said that he will form the NRI Committee Baghapurana. This committee will ensure to work together for the development of the constituency.
On this occasion, 100 crore rupees from Sukh Brar of Gill village and 150 crore rupees from Mr Kuldeep Sharma belonging to the constituency, were announced for investment. MLA Amritpal Singh Sukhanand said that with the starting of these two projects in the area, more than 1700 youth will get employment.
He said that the Punjab government is preparing a special policy to solve all the problems related to the NRI Punjabis promptly. Mentioning the special efforts being made by the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, he said that the government decided that NRI Punjabis should not have to suffer in government offices.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh, Chairman of District Planning Board Mr Harmandeep Singh Brar, senior officials of various departments and NRIs from different countries were present.
