Cycle rally with motive to aware voters organised at Sangrur

Sangrur : A cycle rally with motive to aware general public about the upcoming Assembly elections 2022 was flagged off from PWD Rest House, Sangrur. Rally was flagged off by General observer Shri Subodh Yadav in presence of General observer Shri Rajendra Vijarao Nimbalkar, Expenditure Observer Shri Leyaqat Ali Afaqui and District Election Officer, Sangrur Shri Ramvir. Shri Latif Ahmed (ADC) and Returning Officer Mr. Charanjot Singh Walia were also present on the occasion.The cycle rally started off from PWD Rest House passed through Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, Roxy Road, Vada Chowk, Fuhara Chowk, Patiala Gate, Panchayat House, stadium ,Government Senior Secondary School Girls, District Court, Chhota Chowk,from the bus stand back to the PWD Rest House. Rally was attended by a large number of students from different schools and members of the various cycling Clubs.

On this occasion District Election Officer, Sangrur, Shri. Ramvir said that upcoming 20th February is an important day for our democracy and it is moral duty of every adult to exercise his right to vote on priority basis. He said that this awareness rally has been organized with the objective to convey door to door message and even before this various activities have been carried out in all the assembly constituencies of the district under SWEEP so that no citizen is deprived of his/her right to vote.Mr. Leyaqat Ali Afaqui , Expenditure Observer on this occasion appealed the people to exercise their power of voting without any fear and participate enthusiastically in the great festival of voting for the strengthening of democracy.
