Khanna: Under the able guidance of Sh. J. Elanchezhian IPS, SSP/Khanna, Khanna police has started a special campaign against the Gangsters/Drug smugglers & Anti-social elements keeping in the view of Vidhan Sabha Elections-2022. During this campaign Khanna Police has achieved a huge success on dated 11.01.2022 when under the supervision of Sh Amandeep Singh Brar PPS, SP (I) Khanna, Sh. Gurvinder Singh PPS, DSP (I) Khanna, SI Gurmeet Singh Incharge CIA Khanna when team comprising of ASI Pala Ram alongwith police party were present at Pristine Mall G.T. Road, Khanna for checking suspected persons/vehicles, a Car no. DL-08-CAA-7250 (make/model I-20), was coming and halted for checking by police party.
The car occupants identified as (1.) Kamaljot Singh @ Harry S/o Gurdeep Singh R/o Hno. 120, Chauhan Nagar, Gali no. 06, Dhandra Road, Dugri Ludhiana & (2.) Jaswant Singh @ Jimmi S/o Manjit Singh R/o H.no. 11, Gali no. 02, SBS Nagar, Dhandra Road, Dugri Ludhiana and recovered 02 Country made pistol 7.65 mm Model P.Berretta-Gardone V.T. Cal 7.65 mm PAT (Made in Italy) along with 02 Magazine & 06 live cartridges 7.65 mm from their possession on the frisking and a case FIR no. 03 dated 11.01.2022 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act PS City-2 Khanna was registered against the accused.During initial Investigation, the accused revealed that they have robbed these pistols from near Rudki, Uttrakhand. He is a habitual criminal & member of Kancha Gang. Further police remand is being taken, & investigation is done to reveal more details.
