Chandigarh : The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has placed under house arrest by the Delhi Police for two days, where nobody is being allowed entry or exit, alleged the Aam Aadmi Party(AAP). On Monday, Kejriwal went to the Singhu border to take stock of the facilities put in place for the farmers sitting on a dharna there. As soon as he returned to the residence, he was held captive by the police . The Aam Aadmi Party alleged that the Delhi Police acted upon the orders of the Centre so that Kejriwal could not leave his residence and take part in the Bharat Bandh in support of the struggling farmers.A few days ago, the central government had asked the Kejriwal government to convert all the 9 stadiums into makeshift detention centres for the farmers coming towards Delhi to be a part of the farmer movement. The Kejriwal government  was pressured by those in power to accede to the Delhi police’s request to convert the stadia into jails. The CM Arvind Kejriwal stood with the farmers and did not allow the central government to make the stadium a prison, which made the central government upset and had been targeting the Delhi government and its leaders, including the CM. The AAP alleged that the central government had imprisoned Kejriwal in his own residence with a view to settle scores. The Aam Aadmi Party alleged that Kejriwal  and the AAP had been supporting the farmers and their demands, adding that the CM and his ministers, MLAs and volunteers were serving the farmers round the clock as their ‘sewadar’ , adding that Kejriwal himself went to visit the farmers, ensuring they were provided with all kinds of facilities.

The AAP said that the entire Delhi Police and the Bharatiya Janata Party kept issuing nasty statements about Kejriwal  and the AAP, saying that, on the one hand, Delhi Police were saying that Kejriwal had not been put under house arrest on the other hand when MLAs, Ministers and even Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia went to meet him at his residence, they found that barricades were put up there. They were stopped and not allowed to meet, which proved the statements of Delhi Police and BJP were not misplaced. When the Aam Aadmi Party workers spoke to Delhi Police, they said it was allegedly  done  at the behest of union home minister  Minister Amit Shah. The Aam Aadmi Party said that the Delhi CM was being targeted for supporting the farmers. The AAP alleged Punjab CM Captain Amarinder wass openly speaking the language of PM Narendra Modi, acting as the BJP chief minister.  It said BJP chief ministers, Yogi Adityanath, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Trivendra Singh Rawat and many Union Ministers like Prakash Javadekar, Smriti Irani and other Ministers Kejriwal had been issuing offending statement against the Delhi chief minister and the Aam Aadmi Party. The AAP alleged that on the one hand the Bharatiya Janata Party was  targeting Kejriwal, who was supporting the farmers on the other hand it was  soft on Captain Amarinder Singh.
