Health Minister Sidhu Lays Foundation Stone Of 20 Bedded Women-Children Sub Division Hospital In Tapa

The health department employees have played pivotal role in battling against corona and emerge victorious under Mission Fateh in Punjab. The Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Labor Department Mr Balbir Singh Sidhu said while inaugurating 20 bedded Mai Daulatan Hospital for women and children hospital at Tapa today. Also the foundation stone for canteen, mortuary, blood storage unit and dialysis unit was laid today. Accompanying him were Deputy Commissioner Mr Tej Pratap Singh Sidhu, SSP Mr Sandeep Goyal and civil surgeon Dr Gurinderbir Singh.Speaking at the event the Health Minister said that sub divisional Tapa hospital has now become 70 bedded facility where all kinds of treatment will be available. The building will come up at cost of Rs 5.8 cr in 22000 square feet area thereby fulfilling long pending demand of the area residents. He added that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has duly issued notification stating that all new women and children hospitals in state be named after Mai Daulatan – the midwife who was the first to have darshan of Sri

This is not only a tribute to Mai Daulataan, albeit an ode to all the female workers who have battled various odds and are working in health department. He called upon people to extend all kind of support to doctors, para medical staff, ASHA workers and other departmental employees who are working hard even during the testing covid times. He revealed that during lockdown period the labor department has given 9865 beneficiaries financial aid of Rs 3000 each. Under various schemes of the department, 2542 beneficiaries have been distributed Rs 4.27 lacs benefits.Civil Surgeon Dr Gurinderbir Singh welcomed the Minister Mr Balbir Singh Sidhu and other guests at occasion. SMO Tapa Dr Jasbir Singh Aulakh said that every patient is attended on merit basis and assured that hospital staff will work dedicatedly to fulfill all kinds of duties.Prominent among others included Mr Harkesh Sharma chairman market committee Kharar, Amarjit Singh Dhaliwal state secretary, nagar council Tapa president Mr Ashu, IOL vice president Mr RK Rattan, Punjab Health System Corporation MD Karanvir Singh Chahal, XEN Kanwaljit Singh, district mass media officer Pawan Kumar and entire staff of sub divisional hospital Tapa.
