Installs Solar Hub as a Charging and relaxing Point at District Administrative Complex Parking

S.A.S Nagar : Taking a Unique initiative as per the needs of the commuters coming to District Administrative Complex, Mohali, District Administration SAS Nagar has installed a Solar Hub-cum-Charging Station at Parking of DAC. Divulging details, the Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain who was instrumental in setting up this solar hub, said that the idea behind the installation of Smart, Sustainable, and Community-Centric solar hub was harnessing the power of the solar to provide essential services to the people coming to DAC and Judicial Complex.
“We have been catering the people in a one another way. ALP Nishikawa management approached us for suggesting a project could be done under Corporate Social Responsibility. As per the increasing need of the today’s generation and the people coming to the government offices, it was felt that the daily use of electronic gadgets such as Mobiles and Laptops may be out of power and need immediate solution of charging station. We suggest the company that was interested to install such a Charging point that also exhibit the example of power saving.”
Today, while launcing the unique smart hub to the general public, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Viraj Shyamkarn Tidke said that the initiative taken by the Deputy Commissioner in the interests of the general public coming to the DAC would be proved beneficial for all. The Smart Hub includes Mobile and Laptop Charging, CCTV Surveillance, Live Weather Monitoring Screen, Night Light Illumination, Backlit Billboard and Screen for Branding (LED for Important messages) besides Seating Area and Much More. He said that this revolutionary product is the first of its kind, designed to offer convenience to the public while preserving our environment. It’s a step towards a greener, more sustainable community.
Managing Director, ALP Nishikawa, Pawandeep Singh Anand while meeting the Deputy Commissioner, Aashika Jain after the successful launch of this CSR Project, assured his company’s co-operation for more such projects. Deputy Commissioner thanked him for funding the unique public interest project. Envinova Smartech, a new startup set up by two young engineers of UIET, PU, Chandigarh Ishant Bansal and Arjun Mittal were too much anxious as this was their second successful project after Punjab University, Chandigarh campus.
They said the project costs at Rs 3.50 lakh in total that houses 10 mobile charging points, 4 laptop charging sockets besides 2 wireless charging points for mobiles. Similalrly, it has 8 number of seating capacity. The project is based upon solar power with a capacity of 1.1 KW besides a back up of three days. They said the next public sector project they have to set up is at IIT Ropar.
