Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar : Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain has prohibited the unauthorized sale and supply of Industrial Spirit and Methanol in the district to avert any tragedy by consuming spurious liquor. Holding a meeting of Licensees of Industrial Summit, Methanol and newly allocated liquor vends and representatives of distilleries, breweries and bottling plants of the district at District Administrative Complex, SAS Nagar, Mohali, the Deputy Commissioner said that all the stakeholders should keep in mind that the sale, supply and stock of all these is under lens and nobody would be spared if found guilty.
She cautioned the stakeholders to keep track of their supplies regularly so that diversions or pilferage could not happen on the way. She emphasized that the District Administration is committed to conducting free, fair and transparent elections. The Deputy Commissioner further said that a joint checking team headed by SDMs and comprised of Tehsildars, Excise/GST officials, SHOs and the Industry Department would be constituted to do random inspections of the stock, sale and supply.
Directing the new licensees of Vends in the district, she said that they should give prior permission for transporting liquor besides names of the persons assigned with the dusty of collecting cash from the liquor shops. The Deputy Commissioner said that anyone who was found violating Model Code of Conduct would be dealt with strongly.
She insisted upon the installation of IP enabled CCTV cameras on liquor vends also to keep the close monitoring of these. The officers who attend the meeting included ADC (G) Viraj S Tidke, SP (Traffic and Industrial Security) H S Mann, Assistance Commissioner Excise Ashok Chalhotra, Assistant Commissioner State Tax Munish Nayar and DSP (D) Rajesh Hastir.

ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਨਕਲੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦੁਰਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਾਊਂ ਟਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀਅਲ ਸਪਿਰਟ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਥੇਨੌਲ ਦੀ ਅਣਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਵਿਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਪਲਾਈ ‘ਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ, ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ.ਨਗਰ, ਮੁਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਸਪਿਰਟ, ਮਿਥੇਨੌਲ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਅਲਾਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੇ ਠੇਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਸੰਸਧਾਰਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਡਿਸਟਿਲਰੀਆਂ, ਬਰੂਅਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਟਲਿੰਗ ਪਲਾਂਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣ।
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਰੀ, ਸਪਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਕ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਲਈ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਣ ‘ਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਦਾ ਨਿਯਮਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੋਰੀ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ, ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਟਾਕ, ਵਿਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਦੀ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮਜ਼ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਹਿਸੀਲਦਾਰ, ਆਬਕਾਰੀ/ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ, ਐਸਐਚਓਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੇਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਲਾਇਸੰਸਧਾਰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੀ ਢੋਆ-ਢੁਆਈ ਲਈ ਪੂਰਵ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਗਦੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤੇ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਪਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੇ ਠੇਕਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਆਈਪੀ ਤਕਨੀਕ ਸੀਸੀਟੀਵੀ ਕੈਮਰੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਡੀਸੀ (ਜ) ਵਿਰਾਜ ਐਸ ਤਿੜਕੇ, ਐਸ ਪੀ (ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ) ਐਚ.ਐਸ ਮਾਨ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਆਬਕਾਰੀ ਅਸ਼ੋਕ ਚਲਹੋਤਰਾ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਟੇਟ ਟੈਕਸ ਮੁਨੀਸ਼ ਨਈਅਰ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਐਸਪੀ (ਡੀ) ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਹਸਤੀਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
