MP Sanjeev Arora announces Rs 11 lakh for development of Jagraon constituency

Pays obeisance at Sri Nanaksar Gurdwara, seeks blessings

Ludhiana : Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora today announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh for various developmental projects to be initiated in Jagraon constituency. He was also accompanied by Jagraon MLA Sarvjit Kaur Manuke, Head of the Sri Nanaksar Gurdawara Sardar Lakha Singh Ji, Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu, besides several others.

Sanjeev Arora today went to Sri Nanaksar Gurdwara, to pay his obeisance and seek blessings.Arora not only paid his obeisance in the Gurdwara but he also took a round of the well-maintained garden in the Gurdwara premises.

He was offered a siropa, Prasad and a booklet of various activities being undertaken by Baba Nand Singh Charitable Trust. Arora was very much impressed by the religious, social and other activities being carried out by the Trust.

Arora along with MLA Jagroan Saravjit Kaur Manuke, Head of the Sri Nanaksar Gurdawara Sardar Lakha Singh Ji, Harpreet Sandhu and the devotees plated saplings in the pious premises of the Gurdwara. This was a step to promote the tree plantation drive under the patronage of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Maan.

On the occasion, MLA Jagroan Saravjit Kaur Manuke requested the Member Parliament to release funds for development of the area following which Sanjeev Arora, MP announced to allocate funds worth Rs 11 lakh out of Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) for undertaking various development works in the Jagraon Area.

Manuke thanked Arora for acceding to her demand within no time.Arora said it was a great moment today to get blessings at the Gurdwara. He added he was delighted to see greenery at the well-maintained park in the Gurdwara premises.
