Mohali : Kuljit Singh Bedi, a senior Congress leader who has been politicizing the issue of improper drainage of rainwater in the houses of the Municipal Corporation for the last 10 years, is now the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Corporation for the last one and half years.

He said that big claims were being made by the Municipal Corporation that before the onset of rains, adequate arrangements would be made for drainage of rain water in the entire city and this time no one would be disturbed during the rainy season.

But the municipal corporation and the deputy mayor, who have been politicizing the issue for 10 years, have opened the floodgates of Bedi’s claims in the first rain.

Sanjeev Vashisht said that Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi has been making a fuss over the issue of storm water drainage for a long time. Ever since he was a councilor, he has been accusing the ruling parties and politicians of failing to provide rainwater harvesting.

Recently, while being a councilor, Bedi, in a house meeting of the Municipal Corporation, carried placards in his hands and pretended that there was no proper arrangement for drainage of rain water.

But now that Vedic is the deputy mayor and the situation in the city is worse than before, his politics have been exposed to the people of the entire city.

Stop misleading people and solve the problem

Appealing to the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Corporation Kuljit Singh Bedi, Sanjeev Vashisht said that the people have shown great faith in him and promoted him from the post of Councilor to the post of Deputy Mayor.Therefore, they should stop misleading the people and get a permanent solution to the biggest problem of the people for drainage of rain water.

Because at the moment they are in control of the municipal corporation.That is why people have high expectations.If he still fails to provide relief to the people, he has no right to remain in the post given to him by the people.
