Barnala : Dasvandh Foundation, an NGO founded by Punjabi youth in Australia, today donated five oxygen concentrators worth Rs 5 lakhs to the district administration Barnala. Exhorting the efforts of NGO in donating for the noble cause of combating against pandemic, Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr Tej Partap Singh Phoolka said that Dasvandh Foundation has done a commendable work.Thanking the NGO for its noble gesture, Deputy Commissioner added that others too should step forward to extend helping hand during this moment of crisis. He appreciated the efforts of youngsters Rajwinder Singh Bawa and Gurjant Singh Sangha, from Perth (Australia), who have sent the oxygen concentrators. He added that earlier Brave Heart Foundation donated 23 oxygen concentrators and Trident Group donated 10 oxygen concentrators to district Barnala.The District Red Cross Society Barnala has set up an oxygen concentrator bank for the needy covid patients. One has to pay Rs 10000 refundable security and Rs 200 per day. One is allowed to keep concentrator for a period of 10 days. The concentrator can be taken from Red Cross Society on prescription of a doctor.District Revenue Officer Barnala Gagandeep Singh, Ramnik Sood from Moga, BK Singh from Moga and Gurjinder Singh Sidhu from Barnala were also present.
