Unity Mall will be established in Amritsar for the handicrafts

Nijjar discussed project details with the officials

Amritsar : In order to promote the handicrafts of the state, the Punjab Government with the help of the Central Government will build a big sales center as a “Unity Mall” in the city, where they will be able to sell their products.
After a special meeting held today in the district administrative complex with the district officials, central government officials, Invest India officers, officials of the Urban Improvement Trust and the representatives of the planning and architect department of Guru Nanak Dev University, he said that the government will help the small entrepreneurs of the state.
State government is making efforts to uplift the living standard of the workers and this sales center is a part of this effort. He said that if handicrafts display in a big city like Amritsar, where lakhs of tourists come every day, then the marketing of such goods will become easy and the common people will purchase such items in one complex.
Mr. Nijjar asked the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Harpreet Singh Sudan to prepare the project details in this regard and send it to the Punjab Government so that the work on this exclusive project can be started as soon as possible.
In meeting Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sudan advised that a unity mall will be available for “One District One Product” artisans from all over Punjab. They can come here and sell their products in unity mall. OSD Manpreet Singh and senior officials of the departments were also present in this meeting.
