Cabinet Minister Aman Arora’s efforts showering results, sheds worth Rs. 70 lakh will be constructed on both sides of RUB in Sunam city

Railways to construct sheds within two weeks

Sunam Udham Singh Wala : With the tireless efforts of Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, the process of fulfilling another long-pending demand of the residents of Sunam city has been initiated. The railway department has given its nod to put sheds on both sides of the Railway Under Bridge (RUB) passing near the Shaheed Udham Singh Sports Stadium located right in the middle of the city and the construction work has also been started.
Today, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora inspected both sides of the RUB and said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann, they were systematically working towards the permanent solutions to the problems faced by the citizens living in the urban and rural areas of Sunam Assembly Constituency.
He said that it has been a great tragedy for Punjab that the previous governments and the political leaders have never taken serious steps to fulfil the basic needs of the people and on the other hand, Bhagwant Mann government has been working for holistic development of every constituency of the state from the day one.
Aman Arora said that on rainy days, this under bridge of Sunam city becomes a major concern for the people due to lack of water drainage. He said that even 76 years after the independence, the people were forced to suffer, but now their government was committed to serve the people in a best manner.
He specially thanked the Central Government and the Railway Department and said that the residents of Sunam will always be indebted for the positive response of the Railway Department. He said that a shed of 70meters each will be installed on both sides of the under bridge at a cost of 70 lakh rupees by the railways and this project will be completed in the next two weeks.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that from the day he assumed office as a minister, he had been trying to hold meetings with the higher officials of the Railway Department for a proper solution to this problem and this is a great news for the city residents.
The railway department has given its approval for this project and now sheds will be installed by the railway department on both sides of the under bridge and people will get permanent solution of the problem.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet Minister instructed the officials of Public Works Department, Municipal Council and Sewerage Board to take immediate steps for adequate solution to the overflowing water from both sides of the under bridge. He said that the residents will feel great relief with the solution of rain water drainage in the under bridge.
On this occasion, EO Amrit Lal, Ashwani Kumar, Railway Department Officers, Water Supply and Sewerage Board Officers, Jatinder Jain, Mukesh Juneja, Ajay Jindal Mastani President Retail Karayana Association Sunam, Ram Lal Tayal, Puneet Goyal and other prominent personalities were also present.
