Forest Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak inaugurates Rs. 71 lakh worth Eco Green Park & Nature Interpretation Centre

Hoshiarpur : The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Mr. Lal Chand Kataruchak today said that the Punjab Government is fully committed to ensure clean environment to the people as part of which the Forest Department is bringing people closer to the nature through various projects.
The Minister was interacting with the mediapersons during the inauguration ceremony of eco green park near bhangi choe and nature interpretation Centre at a cost of Rs. 71 lakh amid the presence of Deputy Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai Krishan Singh Rori and Cabinet Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa.
Divulging further, the Minister said that special lighting arrangements of lightning have been made in the park besides installation of gym equipment and maintenance of bus shelter. A barbed wire fence has been erected alongside the pedestrian path for the security of flowers and saplings.
It is an attempt to bring the people closer to the nature, said Mr. Kataruchak. About the nature interpretation Centre, the Minister said that this one of its kind novel project would generate awareness amongst the youth of Hoshiarpur about forests and wildlife.
Besides, a projector screen has also been installed at the centre for showing the documentaries.The Minister also counted on the achievements of the State Government such as free electricity upto 600 units, jobs to 27000 youth, closing nine toll plazas among others.
He also dedicated to the people a golf cart presented by the Reliance Industries. Among others present on the occasion included MLA Sham Chaurasi Dr. Ravjot Singh, MLA Urmur Jasveer Singh Raja Gill, MLA Dasuya Karamvir Singh Ghumman and DC Komal Mittal.
