73 more Covid patients discharged take the tally of recovered patients to 1869

As many as 73 more persons infected with Covid-19 were discharged today after recovery and now the tally of those recovered in the district is 1869.The 73 discharged patients include 26 from Civil Hospital, 22 from Covid Care Centre, 12 from Military Hospital, ten from BSF and three from a private hospital.Now the district has now 678 active cases and 67 fatalities.The recovered patients walked out of the hospitals and Covid Care Centre thanking doctors and medical staff for taking care of them.They also hailed the state government led by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for ensuring sufficient arrangements for quality treatment to them.Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori said despite the surge in the cases, the district administration is making dedicated efforts for early detection and isolation through aggressive testing and efficient clinical management.He said that one must contact the doctor immediately at the first sign of illness. He said that major emphasis is laid to save each and every life from the infections.He said that wearing of marks can reduce the risk of being getting affected from contagion and appealed the people to wear masks while venturing out to halt the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
