Blood donation camp held at 3 Punjab Air Squadron NCC

Patiala : Blood donation camp was carried out under the supervision of GP Capt Rajesh Sharma, Commanding Officer, 3 Punjab Air Squadron NCC, Patiala on 16 April2021 at unit premises. In this occasion,Commanding Officer addressed all Cadets who voluntarily participated from various institutions of this unit as well as staff, for the purpose to organise a blood donation event is to motivate people to donate blood and be socially responsible.30 Cadets of the Squadron have voluntary donated the Blood. A team of Doctors from Rajindra Hospital under the management of Dr. Priyanka conducted the essential medical services. Mayor of the City Sh. Sanjeev Sharma also visited the unit and interacted with GP Capt Rajesh Sharma regarding the sacred cause. The purpose of blood donation camp to get a donor whose blood will be safe to use for the needy.Health benefits of donating blood include good health and reduced risk of cancer and hemochromatosis. It helps in reducing the risk of damage to liver and pancreas. Donating blood may help in improving cardiovascular health and reducing obesity too. Commanding Officer and Medical authorities handed over the refreshments and certificates to all participants.
