Samba : To celebrate 75 years of Independence uncer the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, the District Administration Samba is fully geared up to make ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ event a grand success as thousands of Tricolors will be hoisted from August 13 to 15 across Samba district.
“The preparations are in full swing to make ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ a successful programme and the administration is providing Tricolors to the people to hoist the same atop every household, shops, government and private buildings between August 13-15,” Anuradha Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Samba said.
The Deputy Commissioner Samba was briefing the prominent persons , religious leaders, media persons, PRI members and others on the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and on various initiatives taken up to make the campaign a grand success in Samba.
The DC said that as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, this Independence Day, Tricolour Flag will be hoisted atop every prominent place in Samba.The Deputy Commissioner asserted that ahead of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, varied programmes are being organised in schools, colleges and at block levels in the form of singing and drawing competitions, poetry, exhibitions, sports events, rallies, plays etc.
The Deputy Commissioner added that under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’, the flags are also being distributed through Block Development Offices at Panchayat Ghars and in towns and peripheries through Executive Officers of Municipalities.The Participants unanimously affirmed their active participation in the campaign.
The spirits are high to make this historic moment a mega success and celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ proudly by hoisting the national flag from August 13-15, said Anuradha Gupta.
Other officers present at the meeting were Rajinder Singh ADDC, Suram Chand Sharma ADC, Sukhleen Kour, Chief Planning Officer, Ajay Sharma, District Information Officer, Samba and other senior officers.
