DC Kathua Rakesh Minhas reviews preparedness for “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign

Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas today chaired a meeting of concerned departments to review preparedness for the thematic “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign to be observed across the district as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Ranjit Singh; Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh; ACD, Kishore Singh Katoch; CEO, P.L Thapa;, Dy Director NYK, Som Dutt Zard, XEN REW, DIO and Tehsildar HQ.The meeting held detailed deliberations on varied aspects of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh”campaign with the tagline spirit of ‘Mitti ko Naman, Veeron ko Vandan”.
It was given out in the meeting that from August 9 to 15, ‘Shilaphalakam’ (memorial plaque) will be inaugurated in all gram panchayats/local bodies. Every resident of the state shall be determined towards the ‘Panch Pran’ decided by the Prime Minister.
The saplings will also be planted while worshipping ‘Vasudha’ (the earth) besides Freedom fighters and families of martyrs will be honoured.The meeting also discussed the plan of activities so as to involve all citizens in this National Campaign which also features “Kalash Yatra” to instill the spirit of nationalism, sense of belonging like respect, love, and reverence for the motherland.
The DC, while discussing multiple aspects of the high spirited campaign, called for taking this as an opportunity to signify the rich patriotic heritage of Kathua as the district has volumetric contributions and has been an active ground for brave warriors who serve the country in different capacities.
Asking all concerned stakeholders to put in well orchestrated efforts for the success of the event, the DC also stressed on taking PRIs on board while undertaking all the activities planned for the campaign so as to make it a Jan Abhiyan.
