DC reviews performance of banks, line deptts at DLRC meeting

Poonch : To review the performance of Banks under Annual credit plan (ACP) FY-2022-23 & Govt. Sponsored Cases for the April –June Quarter, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch, Inder Jeet chaired a meeting at Dak Bunglow Poonch, today.

The meeting was attended by DDM NABARD, Adarsh Gupta; General Manager DIC, Dr. Zakir Hussain; Cluster Head JK Bank, A.K.S Bagee besides district coordinators of all Banks & District Officers of Govt. Departments.

Lead District Manager Poonch, Sukhbir Singh informed the house that Banks operating in the District have made total credit disbursement of Rs. 167.12 Cr. against an annual target of Rs. 710.46 Cr registering an achievement of 24%.

Out of these Rs. 71.15 Cr have been disbursed in the Priority Sector against an annual target of Rs. 560.64 achieving 13% of target besides Rs 95.97 Cr Non-priority sector against annual target of Rs. 149.81 Cr thereby achieving64% of the target.

It was also informed to the house that the total deposits & advances in the District were at Rs. 3288.43 Cr & 1677.82 Cr as on 30.06.2022 against Rs. 3256.69 Cr & Rs. 1385.36 Cr against the corresponding period of last year thus showing a growth of 0.97% & 21.11% YOY in both segments (Rs 31.74 Cr & Rs 292.46 Cr.)

The CD Ratio of the District as on 30.06.2022 stood at 51.02% which was at 42.54% on 30.06.2021 showing a growth of 19.93 % YOY.In addition to this an amount of Rs. 4.89 Cr was disbursed amongst 157 beneficiaries under various Self Employment Schemes thus providing employment to 575 unemployed youths during April-June Quarter of FY (2022-23).

Deputy Commissioner, (Chairman DLRC) also emphasized upon speedy disposal of all Govt. Sponsored cases. Chairman also instructed the Sponsoring Agencies to identify minimum 15 unemployed youths per Panchayat for self employment schemes under District Employment Plan.

Chairman directed the sponsoring agencies to co-operate with the banks for affecting the necessary recovery of the bad loans. Regarding social security schemes Chairman instructed the banks to devise the strategy for 100% coverage.
