Wanted criminal with bounty of Rs 10,000 held in murder case

 The Gurugram police arrested a wanted criminal who had gunned down a 21-year-old youth and injured another in Tajnagar village of Farrukhnagar district in May 2020 over an alleged financial dispute.In connection with this case the Gurugram police had announced a bounty of Rs 10,000 on his arrest.A countrymade pistol along with used cartridge have been recovered from his possession, the police said on Monday.The arrested accused has been identified as Birender alias Kalu resident of Tajnagar village in Gurugram. The police had earlier, in May 2020, arrested three of his accomplices including a woman in this case. They were identified as Anita, Bijender aka Devender both from Tajnagar village and and Manender of Rewari.According to the police financial dispute of Rs 50 lakh and some personal enmity was the cause of the murder.”The wanted criminal was arrested on a tip-off received from Rewari. The accused had some personal enmity over financial issues with the victims. The accused and victim were co-accused in a murder case,” said ACP (crime) Preet Pal Sangwan.On the incident day, Yashpal (21) and Ravinder (31) were travelling in a Maruti Swift when the arrested accused along with his accomplices pulled out a gun and shot Yashpal in his head.Around four shots were fired and Ravinder too was injured in the firing. The car came to a halt after hitting a divider and the accused fled from the spot.An FIR had been registered at Farukhnagar police station under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC.
