Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar inaugurated over Rs. 70 cr Projects at JC Bose University

Faridabad : Union Minister of State for Power and Heavy Industries Krishan Pal Gurjar, on behalf of Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal, inaugurated various development projects costing over Rs. 70 crore at JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad. The 75th Independence Day was celebrated by the University as ‘Vikas Parv’.The foundation stone of most of the development projects were laid by the Chief Minister in the year 2017 which were inaugurated in a ceremony organized by the University. The projects include two multistoried buildings, the Science Block and Residential Complex, the Golden Jubilee Gate, Central Instrumental Laboratory, State-of-the-Art Digital Studio and Royal Enfield Training Centre (Skill Development). On this occasion, the Minister also released a Coffee Table Booklet based on the historical journey and achievements of the University. The Union Minister also paid tribute to the brave soldiers at the War Hero Memorial set-up in the University and garlanded the statue of JC Bose.The function was attended by MLAs Narendra Gupta, Seema Trikha, Rajesh Nagar, Vice Chancellor of SVSU Raj Nehru, Registrar Dr. SK Garg, DP Bharadwaj and Ganga Shankar Mishra besides many other dignitaries.On this occasion, the Minister took stock of the progress of the new campus of the University to be built on the Faridabad-Gurugram road and apprised that in principle approval has already been accorded to the proposal of new campus of the University in the district plan.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a Rs 100 lakh crore holistic infrastructure development programme ”Gatishakti”, which is aimed at boosting employment opportunities and productivity of industries on Independence Day. It will benefit the youth in the coming times.Expressing pleasure over the infrastructural development made by the University under the leadership of Prof. Dinesh Kumar during the last six years, the Minister said that it is commendable that the University has succeeded in developing comprehensive infrastructure facilities utilizing its own resources.Earlier, the Minister took a round of various projects of the University and was greatly impressed by the State-of-the-Art Studio established by the name of Devrishi Narada Media Research Centre. He also gave a brief interview to the media students.Addressing the programme, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that the 75th anniversary of independence is a historic occasion for the University. Started with about 400 students, this institute is now providing quality education to 6000 students, he added.The Vice Chancellor said that the university has set a target to achieve better outcomes in NAAC accreditation and NIRF ranking in the coming times. He said that since the new campus of the University lies between Millennium City Gurugram and Industrial City Faridabad, the University plans to develop courses and research facilities based on latest technology like Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Block Chain etc. in the new campus, he added.
