The report of the biopsy will be available in the Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital in 48 hours- Health Minister Anil Vij

Ambala : Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij said that the Civil Hospital at Ambala Cantonment in Haryana is the first hospital to conduct endoscopy, ERCP and colonoscopy and work is being done to make the biopsy report available within 48 hours. Health Minister Anil Vij said this while inspecting the Atal Cancer Care Center set up at Civil Hospital Ambala Cantonment on Tuesday.While inspecting the Atal Cancer Care Center on Tuesday, Health Minister Anil Vij inquired about the treatment being given to the patients related to cancer.

During the inspection, he took information about the endoscopy machine installed from the civil surgeon and other doctors. Civil Surgeon Dr. Kuldeep Singh apprised the Health Minister that the machine has been installed and it will be demoed soon. During the inspection, the Health Minister inspected O.T. room, linear accelerator, endoscopy room, mold room and other medical related rooms, they got information about the treatment being done by the doctors related to cancer. Civil Surgeon Dr. Kuldeep Singh told the Health Minister that 27 patients have come here related to therapy done through Linear Accelerator Technique and 1600 patients have been registered till now.

*Cancer patients coming from Lucknow to Ambala*
During the inspection, the Health Minister also inquired from the doctors about the cancer treatment to be done in the Atal Cancer Care Center. By going to the mold room, he also inquired about the treatment done related to cancer. Dr. Chouhan, also apprised the Health Minister about all the procedures related to the treatment. He said that under one roof, the patient is being treated under one roof while doing the work of making card, registering, checking related to the disease. The Civil Surgeon also informed the Health Minister that patients from Lucknow PGI and other states are getting their treatment here at Atal Cancer Care Center.

*Registration of 80 patients per day*
The doctors of the hospital said that 80 to 100 patients are being OPD here every day. Major operations are to be done for 6 patients next week. He told that 21 patients have been treated on Linear Slater, on Tuesday, the first patient has been treated with brachytherapy method.
