Digital Information Panel inaugurated in Haryana Civil Secretariat

Chandigarh : Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal said that the State is moving forward while laying emphasis on Digital Haryana. He added that the State Government aims to provide services to the people as soon as possible. The Chief Minister said this while interacting with the mediapersons after inaugurating both, the ‘Digital Information Panel’ and a ‘Digital Exhibition on the contribution of Haryana to the freedom struggle’ as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ here today.The Chief Minister said that we are celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on the occasion of 75 years of independence. Through the ‘Digital Information Panel’, people will get information about the stories of freedom struggle and valour, sacrifice of the freedom fighters so as to inspire people from these stories.On this occasion, Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh, Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal, Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Sh. O.P. Yadav, Minister of State for Sports, Sh. Sandeep Singh were also present.

Panels will be installed in Mini Secretariats
The Chief Minister said that Digital Panels displaying information about contribution of Haryana in the freedom struggle would be put up in all Mini Secretariats so as to disseminate information to people about the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Sh. Manohar Lal said that along with Mini Secretariats, such Digital Information Panels will also be installed in places having heavy footfall.
The people of Rohnat didn’t celebrate Independence Day till 2018
The Chief Minister carefully noted the contribution of Haryana in the freedom struggle displayed in the exhibition. When the saga of bravery of Rohnat village of Bhiwani district was described, the Chief Minister said that before 2018, the people of Rohnat village did not celebrate the Independence Day. He then visited the village and inspired the people there to celebrate the Independence Day and on April 23, 2018, he had hoisted the National Flag in the village. The people there were subjected to a lot of atrocities by the Britishers, he added.

Incident similar to Jallianwala Bagh took place at Rohnat
The ‘well’ still exists in the corner of the Rohnat Village of Bhiwani district to tell the poignant stories of atrocities committed during the British rule. Several freedom fighters had sacrificed their lives here in 1857. The Britishers either hanged or shot those who participated in the freedom struggle. Unending atrocities were committed on the people of this area for participating in the freedom struggle to the extent that women and children were also not spared. Thus, several women had sacrificed their lives by jumping into the well with their children.
On the path of Digital Haryana
The Chief Minister said that on the lines of Digital India the State Government has been successfully able to put in practice the concept of Digital Haryana. He said that Digital Haryana is our primary focus programme. The State Government’s IT Department is designing software for every Department under Digital Haryana so that people can get benefit of services as soon as possible. He said that Saral Antyodaya and Parivar Pehchan Patra are also examples of Digital Haryana. Revenue records are also being digitized. Now, only e-file will be functional so that the work can be done within the stipulated time limit.

‘AAS’ is a revolutionary step
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has launched ‘AAS’ (Auto Appeal Software) under Right to Service to fix the accountability of employees and officers. He elaborated that 546 services which fall under the purview of Right to Service have been brought under it. If these services are not provided within the stipulated time, the application will go in appeal automatically. Explanation will be sought from the responsible employee and officer for not rendering the service on time.On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D.S. Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary, Power Department, Sh. P.K. Das, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Principal Secretary, Archives, Archaeology & Museums Departments, Sh. Ashok Khemka, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal and other senior officers were present.
