Haryana Government approved Nursing Policy : Anil Vij

Provision of biometric attendance of students studying in accrediated nursing college in the policy – Vij

Chandigarh: Haryana Medical Education Minister, Anil Vij said that the State Government has approved the Nursing Policy and this policy has come into force from January 1, 2022.Sh. Vij was presiding over a review meeting with the officers of the Medical Education Department here yesterday evening. He said that under this policy, the nursing college should have a own hospital of 100 beds or the college should be recognized by NABH hospital within a radius of 10 km of the nursing college. Apart from this, there should also be a provision for biometric attendance of students studying in accredited nursing colleges.

Medical colleges will have to be enabled for serious patients – Vij
During the meeting, Sh. Vij said that we have to prepare our medical colleges in such a way that they are capable of admitting serious patients and their treatment can be done in these Medical colleges, for this there are modern facilities as well as skillful and efficient personnel providing quality services will have to be retained.Similarly, during the meeting, the policy regarding giving old pensions to the employees who were recruited before 2006 in Agroha Medical College has been discussed and on this Sh. Vij directed the officers to take necessary action.

Genome Sequence Machine will also be installed in PGIMS, Rohtak to detect diseases like cancer etc.-Vij
During the meeting, discussions and deliberations were also held regarding corona infection and setting up of Genome Sequencing Machine in PGIMS, Rohtak to get information about cancer and other diseases, on this the Health Minister said that One more Genome Sequencing Machine should also be installed at PGIMS, Rohtak so that genome sequence can be detected for diseases other than Corona.

State government will acquire Saket Hospital- Vij
Similarly, the Physiotherapy unit of Saket Hospital will be shifted to Karnal and the hospital will be taken over by the Health Department as Saket hospital is not able to operate on its own.Similarly, it was informed in the meeting that on the occasion of Good Governance Day, Haryana Medical Education Department has also been awarded for setting up 100 bedded critical COVID care centers in medical colleges.Principal Secretary of the Medical Education Department Smt. G. Anupama, Director Dr. Shaleen and other officers were present in the meeting.
