Home Minister Anil Vij Takes Swift Action on Karnal Police Complaints, Directs DGP to Address Grievances

Several complaints from Karnal about cases not being registered and lack of action in registered cases prompted Home Minister Anil Vij to receive grievances

Chandigarh : The Home and Health Minister of Haryana, Sh. Anil Vij heard the problems of hundreds of people from various districts at his residence in Ambala. Many complainants from Karnal arrived, alleging that the police were not taking action in their cases. Anil Vij was upset by this and immediately called the DGP of Haryana to rectify the situation in Karnal.
He said, ‘We will not tolerate any negligence and the complaints forwarded will be dealt with under the leadership of DSP-level officers’. Sh. Vij also made separate calls to Karnal SP regarding different cases and directed action against police officers delaying the filing of cases or taking action.
On Wednesday, a woman from Karnal informed the Home Minister at his residence that her son was murdered a few months ago, but the police have not yet arrested the perpetrators. Similarly, a person from Karnal reported that he complained about assault six times on different days, and he possesses the receipts for these complaints.
The Home Minister called the Karnal SP, demanding an explanation for the delay in filing cases. He also instructed action against officers who did not file the cases. Another complainant from Karnal mentioned being cheated in a vehicle purchase by submitting false documents, but the police did not take action despite the complaint being filed.
The Home Minister instructed the Karnal SP to take action in this case and also against those responsible for delaying the investigation. Despite no action against culprits in cases of dowry harassment in Karnal, the Home Minister issued instructions to the SP. In the land fraud case in Fatehabad, an SIT was formed for investigation on the complaint from Fatehabad received by Home Minister Anil Vij.
A little girl from Ambala city told Home Minister Anil Vij that her grandmother sells intoxicating substances at home. The family accompanying the girl expressed their distress regarding this matter, and the Minister instructed the local police station to take strict action immediately. Attempted abduction of a woman reported from Sonipat, Sh. Vij to assign an SIT for investigation.
Similarly, a complainant from Nuh reported assault cases where no action was taken. A woman from Palwal accused individuals of murder, a resident of Rohtak accused someone of trapping them in a false case, a person from Yamunanagar reported fraud in the name of purchasing a truck, and several other cases were brought to the attention of the Home Minister, in which Sh. Vij directed the concerned officers for action.
