He is always standing with the industrialists during the flood situation in Ambala Cantonment- Anil Vij

On the demand of industrialists, a solution will be found soon to provide additional time in GST return filing - Anil Vij

Ambala : Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, has been actively present on the ground to handle the aftermath of the floods in Ambala. He has been cooperating with the flood-affected people and continuous support to them during this challenging situation.
Sh. Vij addressed the industrialists of Ambala Cantonment Industry Area, assuring them of his unwavering support during the flood disaster. In response to the industrialists’ demand for additional time in the GST return filing, he gave them his word that a solution would be found promptly.
It may recalled that The Home Minister’s commitment to standing with the industrialists and addressing their needs showcases his dedication to helping the industries affected by the floods. His reassurance about finding a resolution for the GST return filing matter demonstrates his proactive approach to alleviate the difficulties faced by businesses in the region due to the flood impact.
Earlier, the industrialists informed the Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij that the entire industry area has been affected due to the floods and their documents and other records have been destroyed. They are still trying to bring the industry back on track after the water receded.
Sh. Vij apprised that industrialists in Ambala Cantonment Industry Area are concerned about meeting the deadline for submitting their GST returns, considering the disruption caused by the floods. The industrialists have expressed their worries to Sh. Vij, as failure to file the GST returns on time could result in penalties.
Sh. Vij assured them that a solution would be found soon. During the discussions with the industrialists in Ambala Cantonment Industry Area, Home Minister Anil Vij took several proactive steps to address the issues caused by the floods.
Sh. Vij instructed the officials of the Public Health Department to clean the sewerage in the industry area. He also directed the Municipal council to run a cleaning campaign in the industry area also.
To free the Tangri river area adjacent to the industry area from waterlogging, Sh. Vij proposed deepening the bed of the Tangri river. By increasing the depth of the riverbed, the river’s capacity to hold water during heavy rains would be enhanced.
Sh. Vij has already written a letter to the Chief Minister, urging the construction of a concrete embankment on the other side of the Tangri river. This measure would likely provide further protection against flooding and help in managing water flow.
It is worth mentioning that Sh. Vij visited the industrial area multiple times during the floods to personally assess the water-logging situation and understand the challenges faced by the industrialists and the community. The Home Minister directed officers to install additional pump sets in the area.
These pump sets are likely used to help drain out water from the inundated regions, aiding in flood relief efforts. Fire brigade services and Poklen machines were deployed to manage the floodwaters effectively.
