Ambala : Former Home and Health Minister of Haryana and MLA from Ambala Cantonment, Sh. Anil Vij today inspected the recommencement of construction work at the FIFA-approved football stadium in Ambala Cantonment. Sh. Vij obtained information regarding the construction work from PWD officials and representatives of the construction agency during the inspection.
Officials informed former Minister Anil Vij that the construction work on the football stadium would be completed within two months and that the work was progressing rapidly. They apprised that the major structure of the stadium’s upper deck was being completed, and after the completion of the construction, the final phase would involve laying the track for athletics.
Former Minister Anil Vij instructed officials to expedite the remaining tasks at the football stadium. He discussed with officials about the seating arrangement for spectators, the sheets installed in the stadium and other details. On this occasion, representatives from the construction agency along with PWD’s XEN Ritesh Agarwal.
It is noteworthy that an internationally approved FIFA football stadium is being constructed in Ambala Cantonment at a cost of crores of rupees. Polygrass has been installed on the football field. Football matches will also be held at night on the football field, for which floodlights have been arranged. In addition, several other facilities have been provided on the field. Separate changing rooms have been built for players, there is a separate seating arrangement for VIPs, and a separate media center has been set up for the media persons.
