Jai Ram Thakur address virtual rally of Kangra-Chamba Parliamentary constituency

While addressing the Virtual rally of Kangra-Chamba Parliamentary constituency from Shimla today Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the India has made a special place amongst the comity of the nations due to the strong and able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that it was due to his farsighted vision on digital India to even in this era of Corona virus we were able to be in contact with the masses. He said that the party leadership has ensured that they were in constant touch with the party workers as well as people. He said that maximum rallies through video conference were being organized by the State BJP which was indeed a matter of pride for all of us.Jai Ram Thakur said that there was only one case of Covid-19 in the State by first of May. He said that the number rose steeply as about two lakh people of the State stranded in different parts of the country were returned back to the State. He said that thousands of people were stranded at Kota, Goa, Chandigarh, Pune, Bangluru, Delhi etc.

He said that thousands of people were stranded at Kota, Goa, Chandigarh, Pune, Bangluru, Delhi etc. The government brought all these people by 13 special trains and special buses, which no doubt resulted in sharp increase in corona patients, he added, Chief Minister said that the people of the State need not worry as all the people coming to State were either in institutional quarantine or home quarantine. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated the steps taken by the State Government and even suggested the Chief Ministers of other States to replicate the active case finding campaign launched by Himachal Pradesh government.Jai Ram Thakur thanked the Union Government for announcing a Rs. 20 lakh crore economic package for revival of the economy of the country. He said that this package would go a long way in providing relief to the every section of the society. He said that the State Government has also started several schemes to revive the economy. He said that Rs. 500 each were deposited in the accounts of 5.90 lakh women under the Jan Dhan Yojna for the month of April and May. As many as 1,11,863 people have been benefitted in the State as Rs. 500 each have been deposited in their accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Graib Kalyan Yojna, he added.


While addressing the virtual rally from New Delhi, Union Minister for Textiles and Women & Child Development Smriti Irani congratulated the Chief Minister for making all out efforts to contain and effectively fighting the corona pandemic in the State. She said that the efforts made by the Chief Minister for containing Corona virus have been appreciated at national level and Jai Ram Thakur have been ranked as the best Chief Minister in tackling corona virus by a survey conducted by an independent agency. Smriti Irani said that it was the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that as many as 38 crore bank accounts were opened in the country under Jan Dhan Yojna. She said that not only this Rs. 30,000 crore were transferred to the accounts of 30 crore women bank account holders. She said that all the financial benefits were transferred in the accounts of the beneficiaries, thereby ensuring that the money goes directly to their accounts. She said that about 80 crore families of the country were provided ration at a subsidised rates.The Union Minister said that Ujjwala Yojna launched by the Prime Minister has ensured that the poor women were able to have their kitchens free from smoke. She said that the State of Himachal Pradesh was not only a Dev Bhoomi but also Vir Bhoomi. She said that lakhs of Himachali soldiers and ex servicemen were benefitted from ‘One Rank One Pension Scheme’.Smriti Irani said that the abrogation of Article 370 was also possible due to the strong will power and commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Similarly, construction of Ram Temple was also possible due the efforts of the Centre Government, she said.Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur also joined the virtual rally from New Delhi. In charge of Kangra Parliamentary constituency Trilok Kapoor welcomed the Union Minister of Textile, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur and other present on the occasion. He said that the earlier virtual rally of Shimla Parliamentary constituency was followed by over twenty lakh people of the State through various modes of communication. MLA Arjun Singh presented vote of thanks General Secretary State BJP Trilok Jamwal, General Secretary Child Welfare Council Payal Vaidya and other leaders were present on the occasion.
