Dharamshala : Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, while presiding over the review meeting of Covid-19 situation in Kangra district at Conference Hall in D.C. Office Dharamshala, said that efforts were on to acquire Radhaswami Complex, Parour in Kangra district to operationalize it upto thousand bedded makeshift hospital.Chief Minister said that the State had adequate PPE kits, face masks, sanitization and essential medicines to check spread of the corona virus. He said that the State also has adequate supply of oxygen. He said that the main focus of the Government was to increase bed capacity for Covid-19 patients to meet out any emergent situation. He said that 50 bedded City Centre Multispecialty Hospital at Gaggal would be made functional from tomorrow for Covid-19 patients.Jai Ram Thakur said that in view of sharp surge of Covid-19 patients in the State, Government had decided to impose corona curfew in four bordering districts of the State from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. He said that the people arriving from other parts of the country have been asked to bring 72 hours RTPCR negative report and to home isolate for 14 days.
He also urged the elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies to keep vigil on the people coming from other parts of the country in their respective areas.Chief Minister said that doctors and para medical staff must also sensitize the patients and their family members in home isolation regarding do’s and don’ts about the virus. He said that doctors must also regularly monitor health parameters of the patients in home isolation.Jai Ram Thakur also urged the people to strictly follow SoPs and guidelines of the State Government regarding restriction on social gatherings during marriages and other functions.Later, the Chief Minister also visited Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic College, Paprola in Baijnath area of Kangra district. He said additional 50 bedded capacity for covid-19 patients would be created in the newly constructed building of the Ayurvedic College. He directed the authorities to increase the bed capacity upto 100 beds.Speaker, HP Vidhan Sabha Vipin Singh Parmar, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Health Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal, Member of Parliament Kishan Kapoor, Secretary Health Amitabh Awasthi, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Prajapati, SP Vimukt Ranjan were also present on the occasion.
