CM Bhagwant Mann dares opposition leaders for a debate on the issues of Punjab on Nov 1st

Chandigarh : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab, after the open invitation by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to opposition leaders to come and debate on the issues of the state, said that CM Mann is the most transparent, honest and bold CM of Punjab till date and this open debate invitation is another proof of that.
Addressing a press conference from the party office in Chandigarh AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang, who was accompanied by other spokespersons of the party, Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Govinder Mittal, Jastej Arora, Bikramjit Passi and Babbi Badal, said that debate and discussion are important part of democracy.
And an invitation by the chief minister to opposition leaders to come and debate on the various issues of Punjab is unprecedented and we welcome this decision of Bhagwant Mann because the people of Punjab deserve to know the name of people responsible for all the issues that the state is facing today.
He said that the Mann government is working diligently for farmers and youth of Punjab and constantly trying to solve all the financial and social issues set in motion by conventional parties and their leaders for their personal and political gains. He said that we are working to bring Punjab back on track.He reiterated that issues of SYL, Chandigarh, BBMB etc. are ‘gifts’ of previous governments of SAD, BJP and Congress.
Now these people are trying to mislead the public on the same issues. Kang added that Prakash Singh Badal issued notification for the acquisition of land for SYL, his Haryana counterpart Devi Lal welcomed his step and said that it was thanks to their friendship that Badal notified land acquisition, Congress CM Darbara Singh filed affidavit that they have no issue to give any amount of water to Haryana and then Congress CM and now BJP leader Captain Amarinder Singh inaugurated SYL from Kapuri Patiala.
Kang said that all of it is on record so everyone knows who is responsible for this issue and who took political advantage of it at the cost of Punjab’s rights.Kang cleared that neither SYL will be built because we have no land to build it on nor a single drop of extra water to be given to Haryana as Punjb itself is facing serious water issues.
He added that BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar as a Congressman, used to say that PM can solve this issue but why is he not asking PM Narendra Modi to solve this issue for the sake of Punjab. He added that these leaders have no moral ground to lecture the current government as all they did was loot the state financially and of its right to amass properties and take political benefits.
Kang advised the leader of opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa, PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal and BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar to accept the open debate invitation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
He said that we have nothing to hide or fear, our government was formed just one and a half years ago, these issues were passed to us courtesy of the governments of SAD BJP and Congress. But we are doing the best to safeguard the interests of Punjab and we will keep doing so.
